Facebook Timelines has now rolled out to around the world and people generally have integrated it into their Facebook page. With the Timelines feature no new information is being shared compared to the old system. With the previous system you would have had to click on ‘profile’ again and again to view various old posts. With the new system the history of posts is much more easily viewable. The Timelines feature tries to determine what is best and also lists the most recent and important posts in chronological order. Posts will continue to be viewable by just friends but the definition of ‘friends’ has now changed. What was once viewable only by just friends now includes work colleagues and even acquaintances. Its strange how definitions change!

There is a helpful new page on Facebook for Timelines called the ‘Activity Log’. This can be accessed from the Profiles section and shows every single piece of ‘content’ from each Facebook user. This can be deleted or edited from the Profiles page. Any particular posts that you want to keep private for personal viewing you can now change to ‘Only Me’.
